What I Love About the EGO ST1510T

POWERLOAD Makes Reloading a Breeze

It Does Not Have LINE IQ (Auto-Feed)

The pricier EGO ST1623T ($249 tool-only) adds LINE IQ. That is EGO’s automatic line-feed system. It keeps the line at the perfect length without you doing anything.

The ST1510T does not have this. You get POWERLOAD for reloading. Which is great. But you still need to bump the head on the ground to feed more line while working.

Honest truth: bump-feed is fine. I bumped it every 2 to 3 minutes during heavy trimming. It becomes muscle memory. But if you hate bump-feed, get the ST1623T.

It Can Feel Heavy After 30 Minutes

With a battery installed, the ST1510T weighs about 11 to 12 pounds. After 30 minutes of continuous trimming, my arms felt it.

This is not unique to EGO. Most 56V trimmers weigh about the same. But if you have shoulder or arm issues, get a shoulder strap. EGO sells one separately for around $30.

The Guard Could Be Smaller
